MALES   MALES

  COMB  
Dubbed in cocks, Cockerels single, set firm and evenly on head, straight.   Single, small, smooth, straight rising from point beyond nostrils. Blade somewhat higher than points are long, no tendency to follow neck.

  EARLOBES  
Red - small, fine in quality.   White - medium size, prominent, flat, oval, rounded edges, kid-like.

  HEAD  
Medium size, somewhat tapered carried back from front of breast.   Small, round, carried well back so horizontal line drawn from tip of tail will bisect between eye and earlobe.

  NECK  
Strong, fairly long, well arched.   Medium length, well arched.

  BACK  
Well defined slope, moderately short, wide at shoulders, tapering convexly to base of tail.   Short, broad, slight break where back joins tail.

  SADDLES  
Abundant, but not so full as to form a gradual concave curve between back and tail. Lowers filling space between stern and wing tips partially concealing tips.   Abundant, long, lowers filling space between tail coverts and wing tips, not covering tips.

  TAIL  
Main tail - broad feathers, quills strong, long, but not extending beyond sickles. Shaft of top feathers carried at 45º above horizontal.  Sickles - broad, long, curved in a semi-circular manner. Lesser sickles & coverts - abundant, wide, long, well arched.   Main tail - carried well back at 50º above horizontal, feathers broad, long, well spread.  Sickles - broad, very long, forming graceful cardioid (heart-shaped) curve. Lesser sickles - broad long, well curved. Coverts - abundant, nicely curved.

  WINGS  
Large, long, carried high, above lower thighs, held compactly and close to body. Shoulders & fronts - prominent, carried back. Coverts - feathers broad, forming 2 distinct bars. Primaries, long, wide tapering convexly to stern, but not beyond, completely concealed by secondaries. Secondaries - broad, strong, tips concealed by lower saddle.   Large and long, carried well back, points carried low but well above ground, not quite concealing hock joints. Shoulders & fronts - well concealed by hackle. Coverts - prominent, feathers broad, forming a distinct bar. Primaries - medium long, wide, concealed by secondaries. Secondaries - moderately long, broad, tapering convexly to rear, wing bay well exposed to view.

  BREAST  
Broad, full, prominent, large pectoral muscles, breast bone not deep nor pointed.   Full, well rounded, carried up and forward. Front view-bold curve from wing bow to wing bow. Profile - symetrical curve from neck to thighs.

  BODY & STERN  
Body - solid, muscular, wide fronted, straight keel tapering to stern. Stern - firm, well tucked up, fluff - short, hard.   Body short but with good depth and width, sloping slightly from front to rear.  Stern - well tucked up, fluff, short.

  LEGS  
Legs - widely set. Lower thighs medium length, round, hard, muscular, stout at top tapering to hocks. Shanks - medium length, strong.   Legs - short, set well apart. Lower thighs - short, stout at top, tapering to hocks. Shanks - moderate length well rounded.

  EARLOBES  
Very small, red.   White, small, prominent, flat, elongated oval.

  HEAD  
Fairly small, somewhat tapered.   Small, round

  NECK  
Strong, fairly long, arched.   Medium length, arched.

  BACK  
Moderately short and sloping to base of tail.   Short and broad, graceful curve where back joins tail.

  CUSHION  
Moderately feathered.   Abundant feathers, broad.

  TAIL  
 

  WINGS  
Large, carried high above lower thighs, held close. Shoulders & Fronts - Prominent carried back. Coverts - 2 distinct bars.   Large, points low but well above ground. Shoulders & Fronts - partially concealed by hackle. Coverts - forming a distinct bar.

  BODY  
Body - Solid, muscular, wide fronted. Fluff - short, hard.   Body - moderately short, good depth, and width. Fluff - compact.

  LEGS & THIGHS  
Medium Length.   Short.

  APPEARANCE  
Proud, alert, ACTIVE.   SEDATE, alert, graceful, spritely.
